COMMUNITY BUSINESS CHALLENGE 2023
This year Community Hairdressers Spirit has once again innovated, by offering a business competition:
the Community Business Challenge,
co-created by Patrick Ahmed and Stéphanie Bozonnet.
This competition rewards creative hairdressers who have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and who have made their salon an original and profitable concept.
25 files were received, each as interesting as the next, with salons located in all regions of France, with completely different sizes and turnover, but with a real identity and a desire to highlight their know-how.
6 jury members, all from the world of hairdressing, were asked:
- Patrick Lagré, director of Toni&Guy France
- Garance Delacour, colorist, trainer and co-founder of the Babe Paris salon
- Sarah Guimond, trainer and management coach, and also member of the steering committee of Haute Coiffure Française
- Olivier Lebrun, studio hairdresser, founder of the Olab salon
- Blandine de la Théardière, founder of La Collecte du Coiffeur
- Jérémy Queroy, co-founder and commercial director of the Planity platform (represented by Joan Ferry)
The big winner which was revealed during the Community Hair Show and which took place on October 22, 2023 at the Folies bergère is named:
Le Portrait
founded by Chloé Roy and Enrique Arrivé
Their concept attracted people with:
- their attentive and very “human” management (4-day week for employees who wish it),
- their vegetable coloring (today 70% of their color offering),
- their ecological approach (bulk sale of professional plant care, waste sorting, recycling of hair under development, etc.)…
We still say “Bravo” to them!
The other 7 nominees were:

- Jérémy Cannarozzo for Beauty Zen (Paris)
- Joris Davoine for La Loge (Annecy)
- Fiona Lang for Fostal (Paris)
- Elodie Comtesse for Serge Comtesse Entzheim (Entzheim)
- Domenico Toscano for Les Coiffeurs Créateurs (Metz)
The competition is of course renewed for 2024!
